Hey folks, it's Ashley Mathieu here (again).  Proper nutrition is essential if you want to see results and feel good while doing it.  I know, sounds boring and you've probably heard this a million times.

I know what you're thinking. "Ashley, I'm all about the greasy burgers and fries. Who needs proper nutrition?" Hear me out. You can still have your burger and fries, but moderation is key. It's all about balance, folks.  People telling you that you can only eat broccoli and chicken to see results are probably the same people who think hill sprints are better than Disneyland.

Some of you have maybe heard me say this before... Think of your body like a car. You wouldn't put diesel in a gas engine, would you? No, you'd fill it with premium fuel to keep it running smoothly (or regular if you can take it since gas prices are gross). Same goes for your body. Fuel it with nutrient-dense foods like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats, and you'll be amazed at how much better you feel.  AND YES, you can find deals on food so you can cut some of the cost on your groceries.

But let's be real, nobody's perfect. There are going to be times when you indulge in a little junk food, and that's okay. Just don't make it a habit. Remember, your body is a temple, and you want to treat it with respect.

Proper nutrition doesn't just help with physical fitness either. It also has a huge impact on your mental health. When you eat well, you feel good, and when you feel good, you're more likely to stick to your fitness goals.
